What are the pro's and con's of the different fabrics...leather, suede, normal cloth. I don't have any kids, but I have an indoor German Shepherd that's not allowed on the furniture. So, dog hair will be an issue.

LEATHER IS THE WAY TO GO ESPECIALLY WITH A DOG THAT HAS LOTS OF HAIR. SUEDE WILL COLLECT ALL KINDS OF STUFF AND IT'S HARD TO GET OFF AND KEEP CLEAN. REGULAR CLOTH IS EASY TO BE PICKED AND RIPPED, AND DEPENDING ON THE COLR SCHEME, WILL SHOW DIRT AND WEAR. LEATHER CAN BE WASHED DOWN, AND PATCHED IF TORE. YOU CAN GET LEATHER REPAIR KITS AT WAL-MART...CHEAP!!! IF YOU FEAR YOUR DOG WILL GET ON YOUR FURNITURE WHILE YOUR GONE, THER IS A SPRAY ALSO AT WAL-MART THAT YOU SPRAY WHERE EVER YOU WANT YOUR ANIMAL TO STAY OFF OF.

if ur dog is an issue, u can get a cover for the couch, or just get leather which will be more simpler with a dog in the house.

Leather or a man made leather. It's easy to keep clean. Though leather you need to keep it conditioned. Man made leather doesn't need any special treatment. Now the in thing is micro-fiber, kind of like a suade material. It is really easy to clean and stains to set in too easy.

Definitely get leather.It is cooler in summer and warm in winter and so easy to clean and dog hair doesn't stick to it .Leather doesn't stain if wiped up.And leather will last 10 times as long as any cloth.

Leather is the strongest fabric available and easy to clean, plus looks better as it ages, unlike fabric. Dog hair will not stick but claws will flaw the leather if your puppy is a scratcher. But do not cheap out and buy vinyl, even if it looks really good, will not last, it just cracks. But buy what you like, it's only furniture!
