In 3 years I am going to retire. I would like to buy a rap dog which dosn't shed hair and easy to train to be a therapy dog. Then I would like to volantire to visit Hospitals, Nursing home, Special education school. If somebody give me a good advice, I 'll be greatfull

There are a number of small breeds that do not shed-- go to the AKC website to reasearch breeds %26amp; see which one might be best for you. As far as training, all dogs are trasinable, First you'll need your CGC(canine good citizen)for the dog(look up that at the AKC too) then through therapy dog international %26amp;/ or Delta society you can train it for therapy work. The dog CANNOT be certified as a therapy dog until it is 2 years old. Also be prepared to do a LOT of work with your dog preparing %26amp; maintaining for the required tests.Be patient %26amp; consistent %26amp; you will feel great when you %26amp; your new dog accomplish your goals. Therapy work with your dog is a wonderful thing I wish you luck %26amp; success.

Look into "schnoodles," cross between schnausers and poodles - they are smart and friendly (and I think (?) they do not shed).

bichons don't shed. I have a schnauzer( hyper!!!) and a yorkie mix, they shed very very little. I think it all depends on the dogs temperament for therapy potential, not necessarily breed.

yorkie's do not shed. They do not have an under coat so there is nothing to shed. Plus I have had a wonderful and easy time training him.
