i raise those dogs, during the summer there hair does that it is perfectly normal

There are a million different things that it could be.Does the dog scratch at the patches? It could be an infection of the mange mite. It also could be a fungal infection. Your best bet would be to take your dog to the vet and have them examine it. My dog was starting to scratch and lose his hair in one area and the vet prescribed malaseb( It's for dermatitis) shampoo for him and he's gorgeous again. Good Luck with your dog!

i agree with Dawne, it could also be stress, or is ur dog continuously licking itself this happened to a friend of mines dog.

i have a pom who has that problem the vet told me it was "hot spots" you gan but sergents hot spot medication at walmart and apply it daily even when the hair begins to grow back.
